INTRODUCTION

Lonicera caprifolium [Family: Caprifoliaceae] is a twining deciduous shrub growing up to twenty-six feets, making a large climber with oval, bluish-green leaves. Honeysuckle has magnificently scented flowers that grow upto to 2 inches in size, in terminal clusters, reddish on first opening but changing to creamy-white when they fully blossom.

Steam distilled from the flowers of the Lonicera Caprifolium, Honeysuckle Oil has an intensely sweet, honey-like floral scent, reminiscent of spring. Native to eastern Asia and Japan, the Honeysuckle (Lonicera caprifolium) essential oil is used in aromatherapy to improve mood and increase sense of wellbeing, along with a number of therapeutic health benefits.
