Jasminum auriculatum [Family: Oleaceae], is not a very well known species of jasmine though it deserves a special attention. It primarily grows in South Asian countries of India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and the Andaman Islands. Due to aromatic oil contained in the flowers, it cultivated commercially in India and Thailand. Also popularly known as Juhi, it is an amazingly beautiful flower with a wonderful gardenia type scent. It is a stunning, small climbing bushy plant with ovate dark green small leaves and creamy-white flowers. The flower is held as sacred offerings during the Hindu auspicious ceremonies.
