Our organically crafted Petitgrain Absolute, also called Petitgrain Bigarade Absolute and Bitter Orange Leaf Absolute is extracted from the waxy green leaves of the Citrus aurantium var amara (Bitter Orange) trees, also known as the Bigaradia trees, growing in the forests of Paraguay. Much more than a simple leaf aromatic, Petitgrain borrows chemistry from both fruit and flower for its capacity as the ultimate liaison between the lively, terpenic peel top note volatiles and the sultry middle note floral nuances.

Abundant in calming ester Linalyl Acetate and anti-bacterial monoterpenol Linalool, Petitgrain Absolute possesses calming and balancing properties that has long been used in traditional health practices and various benefits.

REPORTED BENEFITS AND USES

In skincare, Petitgrain is good for maintaining the moisture and oil balance of the skin as well as for treating acne, pimples, abnormal sweating (for those who suffer from nervousness), dryness and cracking of the skin. Being antispasmodic in nature, Petitgrain Absolute induces relaxation in the tissues, muscles, nerves and blood vessels. This absolute is also welcome during times of situational anxiety and depression, as it can help relax the nerves and inspire creativity.
