Our organically crafted Geranium Hydrosol is steam distilled from the tender, green leaves leaves and tops of Pelargonium x asperum (syn Pelargonium graveolens) plant cultivated in vibrant green fields dotting the rural landscape of South Africa.

Pelargonium graveolens [Family: Geraniaceae] is native of eastern part of the Mediterranean region, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. But this small shrub also grows widely on Reunion island, France; Spain; Italy; Morocco; Egypt and China.

Suzanne Catty, author of Hydrosols: The Next Aromatherapy says that Geranium Hydrosol is deeply skin nourishing and incredibly healing for dry, chaffed skin and wounded skin. Catty also recommends it as an anti-inflammatory, useful for sunburns, rosacea, rashes, any condition where redness or heat is present. Geranium Hydrolat can also help ease unwanted muscle spasms, help reduce fluid retention, and help with reducing unwelcome fungal activity. It is often used to promote reproductive balance and maintain overall health.

Emotionally and energetically, Geranium Hydrosol is uplifting and stabilizing. The hydrosol is emotionally soothing and energising and a lovely choice when wanting to manage situational anxiety or depression. Along with helping to promote inner peace and balance for the body, Geranium Hydrosol is helpful for hormonal balancing and is cooling if one is experiencing hot flashes or needing a mood stabiliser.
